Video: From records to royalty, Adele awarded MBE by the Prince of Wales

Adele Awarded MBE by Prince Charles

Singer Adele has been awarded an MBE by Prince Charles.
The performer has become a worldwide phenomenon with her debut album 19 and the follow-up 21 selling millions of copies both at home and abroad.
Her chart-topping releases made the 25-year-old singer the natural choice to sing the theme to the James Bond movie Skyfall - the song that landed her an Oscar earlier this year.
The soulful British singer is quite a rare sighting these days, as she's taken on her role of mom as a full-time job. But Adele did step out yesterday Thur Dec. 19 to receive a major royal honor: an MBE medal from Prince Charles himself at Buckingham Palace.
Adele is now a Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) and her honor of excellence is one reserved for exemplary British subjects, explains People. She's earned hers for "services to music."
