The Presidency has denied that Governor Sule Lamido of Jigawa State ever informed President Goodluck Jonathan of a N250m bribe that was collected by a serving Minister on which Mr. Jonathan refused to act. According to a statement by presidential spokesman Reuben Abati, the claim by the governor was made in a radio interview. Mr. Abati described the claim as “an unacceptable and callous attempt to unjustly impugn the integrity of President Jonathan and cast aspersions on the seriousness of his Administration’s efforts to curb corruption.” He described the claim as an “unscrupulous, reckless and thoughtless peddling of arrant falsehood” for the purpose of personal and sectional political gains. “If, as he claims, Alhaji Lamido has credible information about a minister receiving the said amount as bribe, he should publicly name the minister involved without delay and provide evidenc

The state department said the reward for information leading to the arrest or conviction of anyone involved in the terrorist attack in Benghazi had been on offer since January but had not been publicised. The men died on 11 September when militants, believed to have ties to al-Qaida affiliates, attacked a US diplomatic compound and a nearby CIA annex in the eastern city of Benghazi on the anniversary of the 2001 terrorist attacks on the US. The deaths triggered political warfare on Capitol Hill, with Republicans accusing President Barack Obama's administration of telling shifting stories about who was behind the attacks. Democrats accused Republicans of politicising a

BREAKING: SSS Nabs Tunde Moshood At Lagos Airport, Whereabouts Still Unknown

Image
No doubt, the aviation sector, under the leadership of its Minister, Stella Oduah has been undergoing a huge transformation, as many Nigerians have been made to believe. But the incessant crashes and flight hiccups experienced at some airports, have marred the aesthetical reforms embarked on by Oduah and her team. The nation's airport services, according to findings, have still remained very bad and worse than before. Daily, Nigerians still go through dehumanising treatments in the hands of some airport officials. Nigerians are even better treated at airports in other countries than in their own fatherland. What an irony? Information reaching Nigeriafilms.com from an eye witness account reveals that men of the State Security Service (SSS), on Friday, November 16, 2013, arrested a top Lagos-based journalist, Tunde Moshood, well known as TM, just as he arrived Nigeria from abroad. The respected journalist was nabbed at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos
