Carlos Ghosn, the Chief Executive Officer of Nissan Motors, yesterdayJanuary 23rd announced the production of Nigerian-made 4X4 Nissan motors as from April this year. Ghosn made this revelation while speaking at an interactive session with President Jonathan  at the ongoing World Economic Forum holding at Davos, Switzerland. He said the cars would be produced at the Old Volkswagen assembly plant situated in Lagos and that a total of two to three million cars is expected to be produced from the plant annually. "We are interested in producing popular cars, totally adapted to the needs of Nigerians" Gbosn said while speaking with President Jonathan. He said one of the goals of producing in Nigeria is to help reduce unemployment rate in the country.

Jay Z just got slapped with a $600 million lawsuit and it's all because of an angry  entrepreneur who claims he trademarked the name “Brooklyn Nets” way before the team moved out of New Jersey. According to  RadarOnline : “Dr. Francois de Cassagnol, filed a pro se complaint with the Eastern District of the State of New York on December 9, 2013, asking for a juried trial over the matter — and $600 million in damages, at least… de Cassagnol claims that the NBA, Jay Z, and developer Bruce Ratner ”fraudulently conspired” to use “loopholes” in the U.S. Patent Office so that they could use a term he says he registered more than ten years ago. Indeed, documents submitted as evidence show that de Cassagnol filed applications in 2012 for “The Brooklyn Nets Entertainment Logo,” which was first used in the State of Louisiana back in 2003.”

I don’t know, I guess they just really like getting girls pregnant and spreading STDs. That’s really the only reason I can think of as to why a guy, or any person for that matter, wouldn’t want to wear a condom during sex. Condoms are completely necessary, especially if you’re having casual sex. We’re all reminded of this all the time, yet guys out there are still constantly making excuses as to why they can’t wear a condom. Honestly, it’s annoying, not to mention repetitive. And no matter which of these excuses you hear, I can almost guarantee that it’s a lie and something you shouldn’t listen to.

19 year old teen sensation Justin Bieber was this morning arrested for driving under the influence, drag racing in Miami beach and resisting arrest, TMZ reports. "Law enforcement tells us ... Bieber was busted in Miami Beach and it didn't end with DUI ... he was also busted for resisting arrest without violence, drag racing and driving on an expired license. Law enforcement sources tell TMZ ... they believe Justin was under the influence of both drugs and alcohol. We're told the resisting arrest charge stems from Bieber refusing to take his hands out of his pockets when ordered to do so by cops. Bieber is now in custody and is at the police department where he is being tested -- presumably to more precisely measure his blood alcohol level. Our law enforcement sources say Justin was given a field sobriety test at the scene ... and failed. His next stop will be jail, where he will be booked and processed and bail will be set.

Lagos State University ((LASU) has been shut down indefinitely following what the school termed 'violent protest by students'. The school management shared the bulletin above announcing the indefinite closure, and asked all students to vacate the school premises until further notice. Exams have also been put off until further notice. Trouble started at the University yesterday after the VC Prof. John Obafunwa refused to re-open the registration portal for over 1200 students left to register for examinations

Prosecutors in Missouri are hoping to hear from acquaintances of Michael Johnson, a former student of Lindenwood University, who has been accused of knowingly exposing more than 30 of his sexual partners to HIV. A police investigation found 32 videos of Johnson engaging in unprotected sex with at least 31 people over a period of 4 months. Police believe none of Johnson's partners, whom he met both online and through school, were aware they were being filmed or that he had HIV, the virus that causes AIDS. The St. Louis Dispatch reports Johnson, a former member of the Lindenwood wrestling team, was originally arrested and charged with having knowingly spread the virus to one other partner in October 2013. In November, four other partners came forward, resulting in four additional felony charges filed against Johnson. Last week, investigators found a laptop full of what appear to be Johnson's covertly-filmed sex tapes, dating back to his days as a student. ...

A former Enterprise Marketing Manager of Microsoft Nigeria Limited, Mrs. Ejieke Maduka, who was sacked after she complained that she was sexually harassed by her immediate boss,  has been awarded the sum of N39.6 million/$240,000 by the National Industrial Court. According to reports, Ejieke said she was sacked for refusing to succumb to the sexual advances of her immediate boss, Mr. Emmanuel Onyeje, former Country Manager of Microsoft Nigeria. So she went to court to seek a declaration that the termination of her employment by her employers was as a result of her refusal to succumb to the sexual harassment. And that her fundamental right to human dignity and freedom from discrimination was violated.
