It seems like quite a number of people don't like Kanye and they spent their money to prove it. Louis Vuittion sold out and a new record was even set for online sales. After Kanye West told people to not buy any Louis Vuitton until after January the company took action and sent an e-mail to their best customers who responded in a huge way. The company says that sales surged this week and when final numbers came in that a new record was set for online sales and that customers responded to the attack by Kanye by coming to the brand for the first time and there were many small transactions by people who wanted to show their support for anything that is anti-Kanye." CDN reports During that radio interview Kanye said "They think I don't realize my power." Guess he's not as influential as he thinks he is.

In a radio chat with Toolz on Beatfm yesterday, Wale said the reason he's never been to Nigeria until now was because his parents, who are both from Ondo state, were so poor they couldn't afford a bring him home. A Federal High Court in Abuja today sentenced Talal Ahmad Roda (pictured above), one of the three Lebanese men arrested in May 2013 in connection with illegal possessions of weapon, to life imprisonment. Mr Roda was arrested after a large cache of arms was found in a bunker during a raid on his residence. He was found guilty of all 5 counts of illegal possession of weapons and conspiracy. Two other men, Mustapha Fawaz, the owner Amigo Supermarket in Abuja and Abdallah Tahini, who were also charged with possession of illegal weapons, were set free by the court. According to unconfirmed reports, popular actor Saheed Balogun has dragged his ex-wife actress Fathia Balogun to court over the use of his name, Balogun, insisting that she drops it. The two were married for many years before ending their union, which produced three children, a few years ago. Saheed has been trying for years to get Fathia to revert to her maiden name but Fathia has always insisted she made a career using the name and has no plans to ever drop it. "My name is Fathia Balogun and it’s going to remain Balogun for life. Nobody can ever change that or stop me from answering that name" She said in an interview in 2011. Well, now Saheed has reportedly gone to court to get her to drop the name. Can the courts really force her to drop her ex-husband's name?     The Prime Minister of Latvia, Valdis Dombrovskis, resigned yesterday Wednesday November 27th after saying he is politically responsible for the collapse of a supermarket roof that killed 54 people and wounded at least 40 others last week, the Associated Press reports . The roof of Maxima Supermarket located in Riga collapsed on Thursday November 21 killing several people including three rescue workers. 39 others were seriously injured. The supermarket collapse is said to be the worst disaster in Latvia since 1950 . Dombrovskis, who was the longest-serving prime minister of Latvia (2009 - 2013) felt so guilty about the tragic incident that he resigned. Let me type that again... During a press briefing in Abuja this morning, the acting Minister of Education, Nyesom Wike told journalist that the Federal Government has given the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) one week ultimatum to call off the ongoing strike. Or else what? ASUU execs and President Jonathan were supposed to meet this week but the meeting is yet to hold. The ASUU strike began July 1, almost 5 months later, no resolution in sight. Sad! The FG also said any Academic staff who fails to resume on or before December 4th automatically ceases to be a staff of the institution. Pro-chancellors of the various universities and the National Universities Commissions (NUC) have been directed to ensure compliance of this directive.
